Abstract:
Determination of particle size distribution of rock mass using by image processing has over 30 years of experience in the mining industries. One of the problems of using this technique is to properly link the particle size distribution results of this method with reality. In this study, we attempted to quantify the results of particle size distribution of rock mass on belt conveyor of SAG Mill feeding in Sungun Copper complex plant I (NICICO), using comparison of distribution function parameters technique. Based on the results of this study, it was found that the parameters of the distribution function obtained from the screening and image processing have a correlation of 0.90 and 0.92, and the results of this method can be used by applying these corrections. In addition, the method used in this study can be the basis of many other studies.
