| One of the important factors in extracting and analyzing videofeatures is accurately tracking the motion of a large set of points. Oneof the most popular algorithms for extracting point trajectories invideos is the large displacement optical flow algorithm. The seriesimplementation of this algorithm would be a very time consumingtask requiring complicated computational processing.In order to apply the strength and speed of parallel processing formotion tracking of a set of points in video features, this thesisresearch investigates the implementation of the large displacementoptical flow algorithm using the graphics processing unit (GPU). |
